A naturally sweet tasting latte, great hot or iced! It's a go to when you would like something not too sweet or over powering, it compliments the espresso well, making for an evenly balanced cup of coffee :)
What you'll need:
- Espresso: From Sunny Coffee Co. try our Baja roast, Golden Roast, or Horizon Roast!
- Oat milk: thickness, taste, and frothing quality varies by brand; I like the barista blend oat milk from Califa Farms, it's so creamy and tastes not too-oat-y
- Honey: usually local is best for finding one with a good flavor, but I recently got some from Bernell Bee's, they are a Christian-owned family business of bee-keepers in California. The honey is amazing!
- Cinnamon: optional, but do you love yourself or not?
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup oat milk or any milk of your choosing
- 1–2 tablespoons honey (depends how sweet you like it)
- Tiny tiny pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup of strongly brewed coffee (decaf, in my case!)
- dusting of cinnamon, optional
Instructions:
- Put 2 tablespoons of honey and some cinnamon at the base of your mug or iced coffee cup.
- Pull 2 shots of espresso using an espresso machine or Italian Moka pot and pour into the coffee mug.
- Stir with a stir spoon until the honey and cinnamon are incorporated into the espresso
- Froth 8 oz of oat milk, if you don't have a milk frother you can heat up the milk for about 1 minute in the microwave.
- Then, pour the milk into the mug and try some latte art!
- Dust some cinnamon on top if you'd like.
Ta-da happy sipping :)
