Homemade Lavender Syrup

Here’s a simple recipe for homemade lavender syrup that you can use to make a delicious lavender latte!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender buds
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Combine Water and Sugar: In a small saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Add Lavender: Once the sugar is dissolved, add the dried lavender buds to the saucepan. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
  3. Simmer: Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, allowing the lavender to infuse the syrup.
  4. Strain: Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the syrup cool slightly. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove the lavender buds.
  5. Add Vanilla (Optional): If using, stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Store: Pour the syrup into a clean, airtight container and store it in the refrigerator. It should keep for about 2 weeks.

Happy sipping :)
