- 1 cup Pure maple syrup
- ¼ cup Butter
- ⅓ cups Heavy cream
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Instructions

In a heavy bottomed, medium saucepan, combine everything except the vanilla extract.

Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.

Once boiling, affix a candy thermometer to the pan.
Make sure the tip of the thermometer is in the syrup mixture, but not touching the bottom of the pan. -
Boil - without stirring- until mixture reaches 225 F

Once mixture reaches 225, remove from heat, gently stir in the vanilla. Allow to cool.
